PETONE CENTRAL
The annual meetina of the Petone Central Lawn' Tennis Club was held recently. The president, Mr. R. Moore, presided over a good attendance. The balancesheet showed a credit of £24. The report stated that .work had commenced on the two hard courts, and should be completed in time for the opening day, making three grass and two hard courts.""
The election of officers for the year resulted as follows:—President, Mr Moore-vice-presidents, the Mayor; ; Messrs. W. Nash, M.P.. J. Campbell, J. Kerr; D Dunderdale, E. Caley; hoii. secretary, Mr. H. E. Collie; hon. treasurer, 'Mr "X Downs; hon. auditor, Mr. M. McCarthy• club captain, Mr. J. Shand: comrhitte'e, Misses M. E. Collie and E. Watson.
