The Governor-General was present oa Saturday evening at the Regent, Theatre when, the cinematograph "film, "The Man Who Played Goa," was shoven. Yesterday morning His Excellency attended Divine service a.t St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral.
Although stilL confined to the house, Lady Bledisloe is making satisfactory progress toward recovery, but it is not anticipated that Her Excellency will be able to undertake public engagements during the current week.
Mr. H. H. Sterling (chairman), Sir James Gunson, of the Railways-Board, and Mr. P. 6; Eoussell; general manager of the Eailways Department, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning from the South.
Eeference to the death of Mr. W. E. Bock, a generous vice-presideitt, was made at the annual meeting "o£ the -. Stop-Out Cricket Club, and a motion of condolence with his relatives was passed.
