♦ To-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. T B. McNeil,. S.M. On a charge of striking Michael Hyland," I'rank Christie, a tramway employee, was remanded until Tuesday. 'Patrick Murphy.was fined £2 in default seven, days' imprisonment, for "committing a breach, of his prohibition order, and was convicted and discharged for drunkenness. A sentence of fourteen days' imprisonment was imposed on Archibald West, aged G7, who.was found unlawfully on premises at 98, Taranaki street. In order that she may receive attention, Evelyn Nolan, aged 44, was remanded in custody until Tuesday on a charge of drunkenness.
