Mr. Coad, who is a qualified accountant by examination, joined the staff of the office m 1911, prior to which he had gained a considerable experience locally in business and commercial matters. During his service with the ■ office he has occupied a number of responsible positions which have given him a thorough insight into the work of the office, aid in addition to the experience so gained he possesses a close knowledge of local property and business conditions. Immediately after the Hawkes Bay earthquake in February, 1931, Mr Coad was stationed in the Hawkes Bay district as the- representative of the Public Trustee m connection with the administration of ■ the funds subscribed publicly for tho relict of suffering caused by tho earthquake, and until recently ho was engaged on these special duties. His work in connection'with the administration of the relief funds was the subject ot high praise by the Central Mrthquake Relief Committee and by the local relief'committees operating in the earthquake area. ■
