FOR READY REFERENCE

The most striking feature of the last two volumes of "Everyman's Encyclopaedia" recently to. hand from Dent is a brilliant article on the Great War In ninety pages it outlines the causes leading up to, the war, summarises the events immediately preceding the outbreak of hostilities, and gives a clear concise, and surprisingly detailed account of the fateful years that ensued. Published separately it would become the most widely read miniature history of the war. Those who have been collecting the volumes as they appeared will now have an unrivalled condensed reference library; those who have not should make sure of getting the thirteen volumes, ono of which is devoted to maps. They take up very little space on bookshelves, but aTe invaluable. The small outlay will bo money well spent.
