MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION

The Wellington Ministers' Association met yesterday, the Rev. J. Baird presiding over a representative attendance. The Rev. W. B. Scott was elected a member, and welcomed by the chairman. A report was presented by Pastor Carpenter regarding the s initial committee meeting held for. the arrangement of appropriate celebrations of the centenary of the signing of .the first Total-Abstin-ence Society pledge. The association decided to deal with the matter later.

The Baptist Church Union advised the association of its views concerning religious services at the Akatarawa camp for relief workers.

A paper ivas read by the Bey. J. H. Blanchard on "Jeremiah the Optimist." The Rev. Boulton Smith -will give an address at the next meeting.

The Rev. H. Johnson ■will supply the services at Mount Crawford Prison during August,
