ST. LEGER REINSTATED
ENTRIES TO BE CALLED

At the monthly meeting of the Wellington Bacing Olnb's committee yesterday afternoon, it was decided to reinstate the New Zealand St. Leger Stakes, and the continuity of the classic ■will not now be broken, as seemed a possibility when no nominations were called in June for a 1984 St. Leger. Entries for this seasons St. Leger were taken over twelve'months ago, and the race will be contested next March. Eatriea for a! 1934'5t., Leger, which will carry a reduced stake of £250^ will be called for in the course of the next few weeks.
A proposal to pi'ovide 10s windows as well as £1 ■windows in. the main totalisato'r building at' Trentham was approved by the committeel Previously the main building has. sold &1 and &5 tickets only. ■
The annual general meeting of members of the club will be held on Monday, 12th September next.
