SALVATION ARMY WORK
During the -past six weeks 13,000 women and children have been supplied at the Salvation Army's free snup kitchen which has-been established at the Buckle street shelter. A daily distribution of Boup takes place at the Mount Cook School, Wellington. During the past few weeks over 400 pairs of boots and shoes have been ) paired. The Salvation Army men's industrial homo at Miramar is crowded. Adjutant Itivo, the manager, is conducting a matmaking industry. An order for £50 worth of mats was recently placed with the home,' and the manager has been asked to quote for another £45 worth. This is proving a great incentive to those engaged r m tliis work. The Brooklyn, Vogeltowzi, and Mornington Belief Committee each Friday supplies food to an average of 105 needy fl'imlius, repros'entiTig~more than 100 people. The soup kitchen also feeds about 200 men a day for the greater part of the week. The Rotary Club has given the committee a limited supply of fuel.
