The sixth round of intermediate grade matches resulted in wins for llarbour Board, Hutt, and P.W.M.C.

P.W.M.C. Is leading with ten championship points, followed by Hutt with eight points. As these two teams meet in tho next and final round an interesting contest is expected. The two teams are well matched, with tho odds infavour of P.W.M.C, who have maintained a high average throughout the whole of the season. ■

The. standard of shooting this, round is excellent, tho. forty-two teamsmen achieving the same aggregate score of 2811 (average 66.93) a.3 they^did in. the' previous round. Hutt made the highest team score of 475, and together with Public Service the best combined team score of 942. Hutt and Public Service improved on previous scores by 1 and 1 point respectively. ■ ,

Twentyrnlne teamsmen achieved A grade scores of more than 66 each, made up of 2 possibles, 7 60's, 13 68's, and 7 67's. Tho possibles, were achieved by ,t. Henry ("Evenins Post") and F. Knight (P.W.M.C.).

Judging from, the targets to hand this year's performances for the New Zealand championship are epoch-making in the history of the sport in Kew Zealand.
