The first, round: of the Jmateh for the Forbar Cup was played during the weekend by the Manor Park Ladies' Golf Club, and resulted as' follows:—Mrs.; Butler, and Miss.Mehaffey beat Miss Fairbrother and Miss. King, 3 and 2; Miss Stevens aiid Miss Murphy beat Miss Adams and Mrs! Ha'rrower, 5 and 4; Mrs. Forster and Mrs. Burns beat Mrs. Barnard and Miss Nash, 6 and 4; Mrs. Sherwood and Mrs. Hay beat Miss Bray aiid Mrs. Jackson, 6.and 5. The semi-final and the final must be played during the next week-end. The match .'next. Saturday, for a trophy presented by Mrs. McGowaii,- will be a Canadian foursome, eighteen-hole bogey, players to chopse-their own partners and arrange.'for: opponents. '. ;'.■ .. . .■'.•
