intent; to commit crime] (By Telegraph.—Press Association.). AXJCKLAND, 29th July. ' Charged with being in possession of gelignite and bombs, with intent to commit a. crime, George Sargiff, Eussian. seaman, was found guilty in the gupreme Court to-night.
; The Crown Prosecutor ; aaid that when the'aecused was arrested he had in his possession a small improvised bomb. A larger bomb was found in the room that he; was: occupying. ■ .. ■ • The_aecused had been, interested in the ,manufacture of explosives, having studied books on the subject. . The defence- was' that there: was no evidence -that".the' accused wag going to do anything except blowup fish with .explosive.. ' -'■;»
