DULL MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Cathie, Dempster have been advised by cable from Messrs. Sheed, Thomson, and Co., Ltd., London, .to-day as follows:—"Lambs, 2'a 5d to 5%d, B's 4 7-8 dto 5%d, 4's 4%d to sd, seconds 4%d to 5%d; wethers, J'a 7'a 3%d to 4 l-Bd, 3's 9's s's 2%d to 3d; ewes, l's 7's 2%d to■•2%d,1 3's 9's s's 2d to 2 l-8d; ox beef, hinds 3%d to 3%d, fores 2d to 2%d; cow hinds 2%d to 3d, fores l%d; porkers, 4d to 5%d; baconers, 4%d to 4%d; tallow, fine mutton 23b, sweet beef 235, good mixed 21s 6d. Lambs: Market continues dull with irregular prices. Wethers are firm for light weights, slow for heavy weights. Ewes are a slow and beef very slow market. Prices for porkers are inclined steady; but for baconers are slow. Tallow is steady."
