During this time the comet was passing obliquely through the Southern Cross, and by to-night yrill have passed right out of this constellation, There is very little change in brightness, but the coma appears to'have' become smaller. . Many ■reports would"lead one' tjiTbelieve that fthe comet'is Visible" in "binoculars, but this is incorrect; it is much too faint.- Last Saturday' evening an interestiug lecture was . given on the motions of the ' stars. The Observatory will be open ito the public to-morrow night, when a lecture will be given on "Variable Stars." The telescope will also be used if the weather is suitable.
