F.A. TROPHY MATCHES

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening. Mr. W. B. Hicks presided. '. Notification was received from the Otago Association that it regretted, owing to the lengthy fixture list and further challenges for the F.A. Trophy from Auckland and Canterbury, that it could not travel to Wellington on 20th August. The Auckland Association wrote stating that it would be prepared to play .two matches in Wellington on the return journey from Duncdin, at the beginning of August. The matter is to be considered at a meeting" of the Management Committee to be held on Saturday afternoon. ' Fixtures for 30th July are:—Auld Memoisial Cup: Marist v. Hospital, Porirua; Waterside v. Lower Hutt, Basin •.Reserve No. 1. Championship: Seatoun ,V. Swifts, Seatoun. Notification was received from the New Zeaknd Council that Canterbury hud been ackEowledged as the challengers of the winners of the Auekland-Otago match, to be played at Dunedin on 6th August. The Chatham Cup final, is to take place at "Wellington on 3rd September. The winner of the Marist-St. Andrew's match on Saturday will have to visit either Auckland or South Auckland on 13th August. '

Alterations in the time of starting for the following games oa Saturday were made:—First division, it p.m., Hospital v. Swifts, Porirua; Lower Hutt v. Waterside, at Lower Hutt. Fourth division 1.30 p.m., Lower Hutt v. Seatoun, Hutt Kecr cation. ,
