NEW ZEALAND FORWARDS
SYDNEY PRESS COMMENT
I (Received 18th July, 10 a.m.) • wu ~c , , SYDNEY, This Day. , The "Sydney Morniag Herald" says: "Tha All Blacks' display in the second Test demonstrates that they will probably prove victors in the third Test; unless Austi;aha. carrform.ft much better and snappier combination."
The "Daily Telegraph" says: "Nothing fcoilld have indicated with more emphasis the need for the reeonstructioiT of the Australian Rugby Union Bide than the crushing defeat it suffered at the hands of the All Blacks in the Second Test. New Zealand's superiority, was so pronounced that had the margin in their favour been even greater, it would have been deserved. It may be that the Visitors have not yet attained the apex of their form, but one does not wish to see anything more grand than the display of their forwards on Saturday." . The "Labour Daily" ■' says: "Superior combination among.the backs, irresistible forwards, and a speed that was bewildering were the mam.factors in New Zealand's win. The failure of Australia's inside backs was the other contributing factor. It was more than, a convincing victory; it was a thrashing'"
