FIGHTING IN PERU

A CITY RECAPTURED

HEAVY CASUALTIES

LIMA, 11th July. Trujillo, the northern Peruvian city seized last week by rebels, was recaptured by Government troops to-day, an 'official said, after a fierce attack by land, sea, and air, with numerous losses on both sides.

Unconfirmed dispatches state that many prominent citizens and military officials were slain by the revolutionaries, who imprisoned them upon taking over the city last Thursday, while an official report says that loyal troops have been lynched.
