The immediate response accorded to the great conversion scheme thereby it is proposed to convert the whole of the 5 per cent. 1929-1947 War Loan, amounting to over £2,000,000,000, which'is in the hands of three million holders and to continue the loan at the rate of interest of 3£ per cent., has given intense satisfaction.
