PRICE OF TIN RISING.

(Received 2nd July, 9 a m.) NEW YORK, Ist July. Price of tin, July delivery, 20 cents per lb. Market will be closed from Saturday to Monday inclusive.

Spot price in London for tin quoted on 28th June was £110 17s 6d, on 30th June it had nsen to £117 7s <sd.

SKIN AND HIDE SALES.

Wellington brokers held their usual fortnightly sale of sheepskins, hides, and tallow jesterday Prices on the -whole showed very little change from last sale's level, but there was a rnoie general demand. Lightweight o-* and all weights of cow hides sold at 1 8d to %d ad\ance Medium and heavy ox, average sorts, realised about pai with last sale's range o£ prices Yearling and kip were easier by Yid to %d, as were calfskins Tallow -was mm at late prices The follow ing is the official range of prices:— Dry Sheepskins—Halfbred, 2%d; fine crossbred, 2%d to 2%d; medium crossbred 2 J4d; coarse crossbred, 2d; half-wools, Id to : 2d; quarter-wpols, %d to' l%dpelts, %d to %d. Salted', skins: Halfwools, 8d to lid.
