Maldmont), and bo far is showing no sign of the lameness that sent him into letuemeut after his successful tup to Auckland some, eighteen months back. The thiee year old Holly Boy—Grey Lady filly, bred; by. the late K. A. ArmstLoug, has been leased by her Lower Hutt owner, Mr. Huntei, to Mr. A. II Carmichael, of Wanganui, who raced Harvest Boy with success1 during the now clos mg season. The filly has been shaping well on the local tracks. L. O. Thomas is now sending Glcnto«sie and Purser along, and both are looking bright and well. The youngsteis in Thomas's stable aie daily exercised on the hacks with the straps on. David McElwyn, who has been out foi a spell, has made his icappeaiance on the track. During the season this colt ran several honest races, but always met an improver a .little too fast for him, second placings being his portion. A win foi the son of Mr. Mciilwyn is Jong o\ei due. The daughter of, Guy Parrish showed great speed in her Taces heie last meeting, and is m good order to stait the new season, A new arrival on the tracks is a fine upstanding gelding by Dxusas from. Laetitia, owned by* a t local resident, This gelding is a first-olasß pacer, 'and so- far, is unnamed, i * Several who attended the Hawkes'Bay Meeting have a good word to say for the two-year-old Cimarrbn, by Worthy Bond from Edna, vrho rant second in the Novice Handicap.
