By arrangement with Colonial Programmes Limited, of London, the New Zealand Broadcasting Board is able to give listeners an opportunity of hearing talks— pep medium o£ first-class recordings—by three famous authors, Mr. John Buchan, M.P., Mr. J. B. Priestley, and Mr. Hugh Walpole. Most New Zealanders are familiar with the writings of all three, and the opportunity -o£ hearing them should be eagerly taken by all book lovers. The talks will be given from 2YA in the following order: —30th June, 9.2 p.m., Mr. John Buchan, M.P., on "The Life and Work of Sir Walter Scott"; 7th July, 9.2 p.m., Mr. J. B. Priestley, on "Modern Novels"; 14th July, 9.2 p.m., Mr. Hugh Walpole, on "English Novels at the Beginning of 1932."
