MAN LOSES A LEG

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TE KUITI, This Day. Seymour Tancred McDowall, a married man with a child, had one of his legs severed when attempting to board a train at the Awakino road crossing at 6 o'clock this morning. Owing to the ground and j the step on the carriage being slippery, with frost, he fell and was dragged under the train. He was employed by the Pub-j lie Works Department on the construction of a power line between Arapuni and Stratford. 'His condition is serious.
