The monthly meeting of-, the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting : Board was held last night. Mr. W. G. Lodder presided, and there were also present Messrs. E. T. E. Hogg, S. Brockelbank, W. G. Meldrum,»A. Scholefield, S. Clendon, arid W. T. Strand.
A, request was received from the East-ern-Petone_ Ratepayers'. Association for a reduction lin the price of gas.
