~ LYONS, 9th May. Young Madame Mathieu was tel»< phoning to her husband when th« building collapsed. Her husband, unable to re-establish the call, rnshei home, saw the wreckage, and despair* ingly realised that.his wife was beneath. He watched all day and all night, and was overjoyed to-day to hear his wife's voice crying: ""Where's my husband? \ I'm stifling." She was extricated after eighteen hours' burial, little hurt.
