SYDNEY WOOL PRICES.
•- i SYDNEY, 9th May. At the wool sales to-day 10,716 bales were offered, of which 8508 were sold at auction;1 also 1033 privately. Competition was good for all better-class wools at last weeks levels, but there was some irreguJarity in short burry lines. Greasy merino wools made up to 12% d. The average price of the wool sold at last week's auctions was £8 16s 2d per bale, or 7 Id per pound, as compared with £9 11s per bale and 7.7 d per lb for the previous week
