' The Trades and Labour HalL presented a very pleasing sight when many happy children with their parents at; tended the fancy dress party organised recently by the Mothers' Club of, the Taranaki Street Free Kindergarten. The costumes were very varied, New Zealand industries being represented by "Potona Wool" (whose slogan of use More Wool" was most appropriate), Bryant and May's matches, and various other posters. The many things that could be done with paper were also evidenced. Miss Margot Sussell and Miss O'Connor were the judges. Among thoso present were Lady Myers, Mr. B. A. Wright, Mesdames Davidson, Hayes, Dowsett, and Misses Wilson and Scott.
