BADMINTON

Badminton has been introduced into Khandallah by the. formation of a club, Dr. Theodore Gray being president and Mr. A. H. Bath secretary and treasurer. On Thursday evening the season was officially opened by the vice-president, Mrs. E. M. Sladden, to whose enthusiasm the formation of the club is due. Dr. and Mrs. Marshall, from the Porirua Club; Miss M. Markman and Mr. Gorton, with Mr. and Mrs. Foden from the Thorndon Club, kindly gave a series of exhibition games, which were followed with the keenest interest by a full attendance of members. At the conclusion of the games supper was served by Mrs. Bath and other ladies, a" special birthday cake bein,g cut. The club is looking forward to a good season.
