SCOTT IX EAST INDIES WELL AHEAD OF TIME SINGAPORE, 25th April. Scott arrived at 5.55 p.m., 800 miles ahead of the record. He will leave for ;Benibang, Java, at 3 o'clock to-morrow! morning.
By completing his journey in 8J days, as he hopes, Mr. Scott will regain, the England-Australia record, taken from him by Mr. C.. A. Butler, who did the trip in 9 days J hour 55 minutes. This was 1 hour 45 minutes "faster than Mr. Scott's previous time.
