ALL SAINTS, KILBIRNIE
The churchwardens '. report, to.be presented at the annual meeting of the parishioners of AH Saints' Church, Kilbirnie, states that for the year 1930----31 the total income in general account was £(502; this year, 1931-32, the figure was £570. The vestry had-endea-voured to keep the expenditure, as low as possible, and nothing more than ordinary maintenance had been incurred. Payments now under review included items totalling £26 -which were outstanding at. 31st March, 1931; at present there were liabilities amounting to £37. In June last the vestry decided on -the- purchase of the organ now in. use and all -would agree that the instrument was • • appropriate to the church. • The total cost -with charges was £100, £35 of which had been paid and £J9 was in hand leaving £46 to be provided by June. ' The hope was expressed that more parishioners would join up with the" duplex envelope scheme, which, among many advantages, would enable the vestry to budget for its expenditure. A tribute was paid to the successful financial organising work of Mrs. Kitto, and acknowledgment was made of the services rendered by other members of tho church. The Hey. .T. H. Sykes, vicar, reviews the.work and progress of the church, find commends the wardens and vestry for ihe trouble' they had taken over the finances of the parish. ,
