Amendments made by His Excellency the Governor-General and agreed to by the House in the Unemployment Amendment Bill ivere received from the House. ■ .

The Hon. W. H.-'Mclhtyrc expressed regret that a minimum wage on which the tax should be paid had not been provided for instead of a minimum age. He also regretted that it had not been mad© plain in the Bill that rent could be paid. _ . •

Sir .Tames Parr said if rent was specifically included they would have applications for the payment of rent from every relief worker in the country. The amendments were agreed to, and the- Council rose until Thursday.
