WEDDINGS
The wedding took place at the Kent Terrace Presbyterian . Church, recently, of Eena> only: daughter-of Mr. and' Mrs. A. Couper, Duncan terrace,: Kil--birnie, and Clifford Charles, only son of the late Captain Clifford Eoberts and Mrs. C. Fanthorpe, Island Bay. Eev. James Baird officiated, and Mr. A. Mills was at the organ. During the signing of the register a solo was sung by Miss Myrtle' Chote. The bride, who was escorted by her .father, wore a gown of ivory satin with pearl embroideries and a hand-embroidered veil. She was attended by Miss Mollie Eoberts (sister of the bridegroom)'and Miss Mary Holmes, who wore dainty picture frocks of primrose floral-niaon over rose satin, and crinoline hats to tone. Three small flower girls, Valeric' Liddy and Mona and Aileen . Stinso'n, j were. dressed alike in blue ■ crepe de chine frocks with godets of floral ninon, and pale pink crinoline hats. Mr. Eoy Menzies was best man, and Mr. L. Whale groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held, in the Pharmacy Hall, arid later a dance was held for the young friends of the bride and bridegroom. Mrs. Couper and Mrs. Fanthorpe received tho guests, the former wearing a smart gown of floral ninon in autumn tints; "and the latter in black marietto and lace. Later Mr. and Mrs. Eoberts left by car.for the North, the bride travelling in a winecoloured ensemble with musquash collar arid cuffs, and hat to tone.
An evening wedding was solemnised •at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, recently by the Eev. W. Bullock, of Joyce,- second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Martin, Eoseneath, and Ecynolds Wilfred, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. V. D;entice, Island Bay. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. A. Marijn. Wore a graceful gown of,ivory Chantilly lace, fitting, closely at the hips and fully, flaring to the ankles. Her embroidered tulle ,veil was .arranged with a lace cap encircled, by orange blossoms, and was worn well off,tho face. She carried a sheaf of cream ■ loses, The bridesmaids; Misses Dorothy Williamson and 'Ngata Eeynolds, wore frocks of apple green lace with fully flared skirts, hip flounces, and epaulettes! They had picture hats of soft apricot straw, and. carried sheaves-of roses and gladioli to tone. Little tynette Martin (sister of, the bride) was a flower girl, and wore a "Victorian frock of apple green net and rucked cap of green satin. She carried a posy of apricot shaded roses, Mr. Max Mills was best man, and Mr. Willard Martin groomsman. A reception was held at the Kolburn Kiosk, where Mrs. Martin received tho guests, wearing a model gown of black lace and georgette. She carried a bouquoj; of deep crimson roses. Mrs. Dentice wore a frock of black georgette and carried a bouquet in autumn shades. The bride and hridegroom left later for a motor tour of the North, the bride wearing a Lido blue cloth coat with musquash collar over' a frock of the same shade/ and glengarry1 hat to tone. ■
