OBITUARY
An old and respected resident of Newtown, Eliza Harriet Jones, wife of' William Henry Jones, diea last wSek at" her, resiaence, 309 Mansfield street. The late Mrs. Jones, who was a daughter of the late William and Eliza Br"owii (the former being, the first custodian of Newtown Park) was married at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, in 1878, ana spent the whole of her marriea, life in Wellington with the exception of a few years at Petone. Her husband was' Jar fver 30 yeara on
the staff, of. the Railway' Stores. The late Mrs. Jones was" one of those chosen to represent the' Early Settlers during the. Prince of Wales's visit to New Zealand. She leaves two sons, Messrs. W. H. and B. Jones • (Lower Hiitt), three daughters^ Mrs. Harmer (Auckland), Mrs. Eades'(Wellington), Mrs. Sidet (Napier and IS grandchildren "and 3 great -grand-children. <
