At Hopewell (New Jersey)' Captain j; J. Lamb, o£ the. State police, announced on Monday that no demand for ransom had, ever been made- for Jthe Lindbergh haby, and neither the Lindberghs, nor the-police had had any communication from the kidnappers;
..' This statement was in direct contradiction with the information given out by the investigating- forces- last week that a note Bad been, pfnned; to the nursery wfnd'owsill demanding ransom,, and theatening- harm if the text were made, public. .
