WELLINGTON COLLEGE GARDEN
PARTY AND DANCE.
The Wellington College garden party is to be held on Saturday next. The spacious and beautiful grounds surrounding the school lend themselves particularly well to such a function as a garden party, and these should present a festive appearance when the fete is officially opened by the chairman of the Board of Governors. Mr G.Mitchell.
Gaily coloured marquees housing fancy, cake, sweets, flowers, and soft drink stalls, will no doubt prove centres of attraction. Afternoon tea will be dispensed in the dining hall, and music will accompany the various attractions arranged. These -will include spectacular events by pupils of the school as well as sideshows.
The day's festivities will conclude with a cabaret dance in the school gymnasium in the evening. This has been organised by an experienced committee of ladies, old boys, and members of the staff, and should be even more successful than the very enjoyable functions of a similar nature held in previous years.
