WADESTOWN SOCIETY
; Many fine exhibits, artistically arranged, gave the Parish Hall, Wadestown,. an attractive .appearance: last .evening, when the/Wadestown. .Cottage Garden and Beautifying ■ Society's autumn show was opened. by Mr. G. L. Stewart, one of the vice-presidents. There was a large gathering, and the society received many congratulations from visitors on the excel- j lence of the. exhibition. Mr. Stewart was. introduced by Mr. { Herbert Baillie, president -of the society. Among those present were Mrs. Stewart (who was presented with a beautiful bouquet), Mrs. Bailie, Mrs. ■ McPhers.on, and-Mr. W. H. Allen. j The vegetables, flowers, and fruits were judged by Mr. F.. Westbury. Miss Alice Gray judged the > decorative section, and Mrs.. Barrington the home products. There were some fine exhibits in the children's section and also in the adult decorative section. Some splendid dahlias were on exhibition, and' the display of vegetables, in quality and in number of! entries, was said to be the finest for some 'years.'- ■• ■ ■ ■:.:-•• ■ •. •, The list of awards was as follows:—..
