The depression mentioned yesterday has moved eastwards, and this morning was centred west of the Bounty Islands. There has been a.slight rise of pressure in western and southern districts, where winds have, In most places, changed to south-west. Fairly general rain has occurred In Westland, Otago, and Southland, while elsewhere there have been scattered showers. Thunderstorms were reported from a number of places. The droughtstricken districts appear, unfortunately, to have missed the rain so far.
