MAJESTIC THEATRE.
The last two days are announced of "The Shadow Between," the enthralling drama, featuring Kathleen O'Regan and Godfrey Tearle at the Majestic Theatre. The plot • centres around a wife's sacrifice to live up to her husband's idea of "Ideal marriage" and her endeavours to start level with him so that the stigma of his prison record will not stand as a shadow between: them. "Hobson's Choice," one of the most refreshing comedies ever brought to the screen, will open at the Majeslc on Friday. The locality of the story is the little, town.:of Salford, In Lancashire, and the charm of the film is said to be irresistible. It centres around Maggie Hobson, the eldest daughter of a tyrannical boot manufacturer. She rebels against her father's iron rule and refuses to remain In the position of unpaid assistant in her lather s shop. More than one young roan enters "Hobson's" for a pair of laces and comes out with a new pair of boots on and his old ones left behind for repair. The introduction of the old-fashioned lantern lecture is the cause of much laughter in this Lancashire comedy, and Miss Viola Lyell Is credited with making the strong-willed imperious Maggie live. Frank Pettlngall appears In the role of Maggie's shy lover, "WulUe" Mossop.
