SUMMER TIME
PROPOSED EXTENSION
CABINET, CONSIDERATION
Some time ago ; representations were made to1 the Government urging that the period of summer-time should be extended so as toincludo the Easter holidays.
Questioned as to the Government's attitude towards the proposal, the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. A. Hamilton) stated to-day that the matter had been receiving his attention, and it would be submitted to Cabinet for decision before the opening of Parliament. Mr. Hamilton said that if any alteration were made it would be necessary to amend, the Act.
