ORPHANS PICNIC AT MURITAI
» ,e"J°yablß outing was provided:for the. children of St. Joseph's Orphanage, Upper Hutt, on Sunday, by a number^! Catholic gentlemen. The picnic Vtook place at Muritai, and with exceljerit arrangements: and glorious weather was a great sucqess. Nearly 250 cnildren were provided for and with a varied programme pf sports on land and sea the kiddies.enjoyed themselves to the utmost. Thirty-five motorcars were provided, and the transport of large body of children was carried out -without a hitch. Gifts in cash and ;:oods Tveve provided by numerous donors.
