Mbofev presiding. - In commenting upon a letter from the Town Planning institute of New Zealand concerning ; 'relief works,' 'Commissioner L■a^yrence stated that some time ago there had- been mention;, of' an alternative route to. Wellington from Ngaio, Khaindallah, and Johnsonville. The committee set iup to cpnsidei-; the matter would hold its first meeting shortly^ Several routes were proposed. One was. from Wadestown to Ngaio and Johnsonville, joining the main road.-.there, while. another route was through Karbjri..and over the Makara road. A third proposed ro..
