Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Short, who have been spending the holidays at Eastbourne, have returned to town.
Lady Hosking, who has spent some months in the South Island, returned to Wellington yesterday morning.
Mr. and/Mrs. A. Keid are Wellington visitors to Timaru.
Mrs. Dudley Nowbigin, Hastings, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. Creagh O'Connor, Grant road, will return homo to-morrow.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Ward (Karori), and Mr. and Mrs. O. H. MeCornack (Detroit) will leave YFellington to-uior-tow by the Monowai for a brief visit to Sydney.
Miss Jean Webster, Heretaunga, will leave this evening for a visit to Christehurch.
Mrs. Louis Cohen, Karon, who is visiting the South Island, is the'guest of Mrs. Gerald Mathiasj Cave.
Dr. and Mrs. James Hall, England, who are visiting Dr. Hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hall, Hill street, will leave this evening for Christehurch. en route to the Franz Josef Glacier.
Mr. and Mrs, G. Behn, Detroit, who are spending some months in New Zealand, will leave to-morrow by the Monowai for a brief visit to Sydney. .
Professor Sinclaire, late of Perth, who has been appointed to the Chair of English at College, is oxpected to arrive in Christehureh from the North Island about the middle of February. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Sinclaire. -... *....:, .

Mr., and Mrs. E. S. Baldwin, Lyall Bay, accompanied By Mr. and Mrs, J. E. : L. Baldwin, Karori, have left for a throe weeks'motor camping trip, which Avill include a week at Little Manly with their daughter, Mrs. Hugh Thorneon, Eemuera, Auckland.
