SPEEDWAY RACING
TO-NIGHT'S MEETING.
Owing to the - unfavourable, weather on Saturday, the meeting .at -Ithe. Kilbirnie Stadium Speedway was postponed until to* night, when it is likely that some of the best' broadtiding displays on. ■ record will be witnessed. Those who are -to play the principal parts to-night are accomplished broadsidors, and while their cornering will make the contests attractive they should provide keen competition in-plenty. From overseas there are Jack Bishop (one o£ Queensland's greatest riders),-" Nobby Key, (England Test and Crystal Palace star), Roger Frogley (Crystal Palace captain and a Test representative of- England), and Frank Ducket', (an Australian oi wide experience). Bishop, one of • the most attractive riders; ever seen here,-is. to make his first appearance .of the- season, in: New. Zealand.. The others, are! reappearing after having competed elsewhere, and they are all1 reported .to be-in better form, as is Wally Kilmister,. who will lead Wellington ; in a teams' race with the ...visitor;. Match racing .will be a feature of the meeting, arid the duel between. the local star's and the visitors should be; full q£ thrills.' There should . be' , exhilarating sport, in plenty throughput' a full programme. '. ■■■ ' '
