Trouble after a danco at Day's liny recently led to the appearance of btnnley Edgar Sareich in tho Petone Magistrate's Court on "Wednesday on charges of assaulting.C. ,W. Haines and of committing mischief by wilfully damaging a pnnc of glass, valued at 27s 6d, in the window: of Hnines's car. Ho pleaded not guilty to both charges, but was convicted on both by Mr. W H. Woodward, S.M. For the assault he was fined £1, and on the charge of nuschipf ho.-nns ordered to make good the damage done.
