VICTORIAN YACHT WINS

SYDNEY, 28th January.

The Victorian yacht Vanessfi won the Sayonara Cup after a thrilling finish by seconds from the New- South Wales yacht' Norn;

The deciding heat was sailed to-day. This waa the first time in history that it haa been necessary, to hold a fifth hent, each boat having won, twice. Tho Vanessa won by 72 seconds. She also won tho cup last year for New South Wales, after which she was sold tol the present Victorian owners.
