A WOMAN'S TOUR

AUCKLAND, This Day.
Miss Esther James, of Auckland, who set put last month to walk from Spirits Bay to Bluff .in the interests of New Zealand-made goods, arrived in Auckland on Wednesday after completing 340 miles of Her tour.
"AVhen I set out on this walk," Miss James L said, "I was eight stone in weight, and after having walked 340 miles, eating only New Zealand-grown f00d,,! now weigh Bst 91b." Every article of clothing worn by Miss James was made in New Zealand. Her-shoes, which she has worn all the way from Spirits Bay to Auckland, have only now shown slight signs of wear in the: toes. One pair of stockings lasted her over a distance of 100 miles before a slight hole appeared in the toe; of "ladders" thero was no sign. ' ■ • '
"This is about a third of my journey completed," sho said, "and I sin? cerely hope that more people will patronise the goods produced' by their own country, and thus make my journey not in. vain. >>■'■■■
Miss 'James is obtaining first-hand [knowledge of how Now/Zealand's primary products are produced, and she intends next year to , walk through England advertising the Dominion's primary "products.. ,
