AZTEC TREASURES
FOUND IN MEXICAN TOMB
AMERICA'S TUTANKHAMEN
MEXICO CITY, 17th January.
A Mexican tomb, just uncovered near Oasaca, was revealed to-day to bo a veritable storehouse of historical material anil treasures of nftecnth century Mexican civilisation.
It is believed that the sepulchre represents tho richest and most, importaht discovery ever made in North America, and rivals, historically and intrinsically, the tomb of Tutankhamen.
The tomb contained the- bodies of ten Mexican warriors'bedecked with gold and precious and semi-precious stones and jewels, including several crowns of pure gold, pearls as largo as pigeons? eggs, jade necklaces, golden masks, and vases of gold, alabaster, and onyx.
