EASTER HOLIDAY MATCH 2*i" '--~.. ■■■- ' ■;:'•;■ , ■:■- .-■ Arrangements .will be made for a sfrong^Wellington cricket team to visit Napier at Easter if the cost is not excessive, and the Napier Cricket Association is in agreement. This decision was made at a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association last evening as the result of a suggestion by the chairman, Mr. ; J. S. Hanna. It was stated that if arrangements could be made to billet members.of the Wellington team, Napier would be permitted to retain the whole of .the takings. On the motion of the cpaarman it'ii-as'decided to obtain the views of tHe'Napier ' Association from the president. ' The selection of a Wellington team to play Nelson; at the Basin' Reserve on Wednesday, 27th January, was left in the hands of Messrs. W. A. Aldersley and C. Si Dempster. , Attention was drawn to the fact that some of the suburban clubs did not start their senior matches on time. The secretary was instructed to write to the clubs pointing out that the .starting time for matches on all grounds was C p.m. '!'-All outstanding ground fees owing by clubs are to be paid by 5 p.m. on Monday next. ' : A cheque for £50.was received from the New Zealand Cricket Council in part payment for Dempster's services during the English tour. A letter was received from H. 6. Vivian thanking the association for presenting him with the silver-mounted ball, which he said was very much appreciated. ANNIVERSARY DAY MATCHES. ~ Notification was received that the following matches will'be played pri Anniversary Day:— /i Junior team v. Horowhenua (Basin Reserve). Junior team v. Boys' Cricket Association (Basin Eeserve). Manawatu v. Kilbirnie . (Kilbirnie). Hutt v. Wairarapa (Hutt). On 28th and 29th January an Auckland junior representative team will play a similar Wellington team at the Basin Reserve. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.
