It is alleged by Canterbury;' soft fruit growers that fruit imported from Austrstta has introduced diseases to New Zealand orchards. At a meeting of the Christchurch Tomato and Stone Fruit Growers' Alioclation on Saturday it was decided t« communicate '.with ~ the 'Minister of Agriculture, T^uestiigSWat'-'.i ban be placed on the*" importation of fruit from Anstaaßa.
