LONDON, 12th January.

In the. billiards match Newman is 18,184, including breaks of 390 and 345 unfinished. Lindrura is 15,076, including a break of 1111 full, compiled in 35 minutes.

Lindrum reached 1000 in 32 minutes, equalling the record. He failed to break it owing to his control being less effective than usual. He fluked, potting the red, at 939. Other breaks were 641, 478, and 761. *.
