BEELIN, 13th January. .Following the refusal of the Hitler (Fascist) Party, and. the German National Party to support Dr. Bfuening's plan .of extending President Hindenburg's term of office, by a resolution in the Reichstag the Presidential election will proceed in. the usual way. ; j The Hitler Party's support of Presi. dent Hindenburg's candidature is regarded as certain. Thus his election is assured. ■
The only opposition candidate probbably will be, the Communist, Herr Thaelmann, who, in 1925, received 1,930,000 votes..
