A very interesting evening was spent in the, PominioniFarmers' Institute yesterday by 'members of .the Wellington 'Horticultural' Society and their friends. Wall; carnations and hybridisation were the subjects dealt with by Mr. Jones; and Mr. R. N. Porteous talked about roses. The late hour necessitated the holding over until another meeting of projected .talks on gative flowers and. pansies,
